This position is based in Plano, TX, with a hybrid mix of some in-office time and some remote work.

The Enterprise Tools & Platform team is obsessed with providing our engineers with best-in-class tooling for building, deploying, and operating software services at scale. The team will be organized into smaller groups around Developer Efficiency and Core Infrastructure. Developer Efficiency provides capabilities for getting software from our developers' laptops all the way out to production including CI/CD tooling, common software libraries, an internal developer portal and remote development environments, and API Gateways. Core Infrastructure operates a lower-level platform our services depend on including the container platform, networking infrastructure, service discovery, and infrastructure-as-code tooling. These teams provide enormous leverage for the rest of the business by providing for the common needs of our engineers, improving the resiliency of our services and the productivity of our engineers.

The Business Domain Owner is a key role responsible for driving the strategic direction of an Enterprise Platform domain by setting the vision, goals, and objectives, and aligning business and technology strategies. They will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that all factories are maximizing return on investment and delivering business value and results. The role requires integrating multiple department and company perspectives, identifying strategic intersections and opportunities, and driving toward an integrated plan for sustainable growth. The Business Domain Owner will lead the design of end-to-end business processes, define the product roadmap, and drive cross-product/domain roadmap and release planning. They will also oversee product owners to ensure the vision is incorporated into product roadmaps and delivered based on priorities. To measure success and drive continuous improvement, the Business Domain Owner will define and track metrics for the domain that focuses on business value realization throughout the product lifecycle, including end-user KPIs, domain performance, team engagement, and domain maturity. They will also work collaboratively with cross-functional teams outside of the domain to deliver innovative solutions that drive coordinated and cohesive strategies

Who We're Looking For

As our Enterprise Tools & Platform BDO you will help us identify, maintain, and incrementally deliver value on an evolving set of priorities in the Platform space. Doing so will require using all of the tools in your Product Manager toolbox including understanding the needs of your customers, collecting and reporting on data, and developing the product artifacts (e.g., strategy, roadmaps, user stories, briefs) that keep the team engaged, aligned, and excited. Day to day you might find yourself conducting user interviews, participating in a backlog refinement session, writing a product brief, poking through product usage metrics, researching the technology landscape, or updating our internal product documentation. Outside of the Developer Platform space, you will help level up our Product team's best practices to make sure they include your hard-won discoveries of what works and what doesn't!

  • You'll help define the long-term strategy and vision within our Internal Developer Platform product space and inspire stakeholders to execute
  • You will play a key role in collaborating with all internal product teams and identifying common opportunities to accelerate their goals.
  • Drive value and business impact by deeply understanding developer needs across product portfolio and moving quickly to ship products
  • Define how we measure the success of our products
  • Bring in the mindset of continuous improvement and sensible prioritization by deciding what we should do, why, and when!
  • You'll deeply immerse yourself in knowing your internal and/or external customer(s) by employing empathy and design thinking to define broad-scale solutions that provide breakthrough leverage
  • You'll model adaptability by encouraging continuous evolution to product strategy in light of industry trends, emerging solutions, new insights, and changing customer and business needs

What You Bring

  • Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS]: in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Mathematics or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required
  • Extensive experience in delivering large-scale enterprise-class solutions
  • 7+ years of PM experience with demonstrated ability to build a multi-quarter roadmap and shipping products to achieve it
  • Developer-centric - you thrive on spending time directly with developers, establishing close relationships with tech leaders, and helping them solve issues.
  • Technical depth - you like system design thinking, are not afraid to get your hands dirty testing internal developer tools, and can effectively collaborate with senior technical leaders across the company.
  • Metrics and impact-driven - you have a keen sense of translating customer needs into product solutions that create value and drive business outcomes
  • Set the pace - you understand the scale of the opportunity ahead of you and move with urgency to deliver meaningful impact to our customers

Added bonus if you have

  • MBA or master's degree
  • 15+ years of overall experience in delivering large-scale enterprise-class solutions
  • 10+ years of experience in Agile product management
  • 5+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into digital products
