The Opportunity
We are looking for an accomplished Business Systems Analyst to join our Analyst team as part of our financial services business in Grand Cayman.
The Cayman Islands is home to our global headquarters and where the Maples Group first established operations in the 1960s. Since then we have grown to become one of the largest employers in Cayman, where colleagues from all over the world collaborate to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide. As part of our Cayman team, you will:
 
  • Analysis and process re-engineering, project management, solution evaluation including analysis of ‘Buy vs Build'.
  • Involvement in the Application of Agile / Scrum to design and build products with our internal developers, change management, user training and application support.
  • Working with key business areas including accounting and investor management for Hedge Fund & Private Equity clients, visualization of data via interactive dashboards for Institutional clients, regulatory and compliance data processing and reporting (e.g. FATCA, CRS and AML), wire payment workflow management, risk monitoring and secure bank connectivity.
 
What You Bring
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
 
  • The ability to leverage existing financial services knowledge, self-manage and take ownership in order to deliver with discipline.
  • He/she should be able to apply an analytical approach effectively to identify root cause / gap.
  • The ability to plan meticulously and manage both project and operational risk, adapt communication effectively between our clients, the business and technology teams.
  • The ability to generate new ideas, with a passion for innovation and technology.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six years of experience in Financial Services
  • An undergraduate or graduate degree relevant to Financial Services or Information Technology
  • Business analysis professional qualification (e.g. IIBA CBAP) is preferred but not essential.
  • Travel may be required.
