The Senior Technology Leadership Professional is responsible for all aspects of software or hardware product delivery and performance. The Senior Technology Leadership Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Within the IT Operations Centerthe Senior, Technology Leadership Professional, will support the initiatives and work within the Applications Operations Center (AOC), Mainframe L1 (MFL1) & Enterprise PPV (E-PPV). The AOC is a 24x7x365 team that responds to events and Incidents impacting Production applications - all of which are SOP based and many leverage automation to minimize manual intervention. Within a managed service contract, MFL1 is the Mainframe L1 team responsible for 24x7x365 monitoring and response to Mainframe jobs - the team actioned ~19k abends in 2023. The E-PPV team initiates automated test cases following Change implementation and raises awareness of potential Incidents or lobbies for rollback to minimize impact to the business segments - over 3k validations performed in 2023. Additionally, if requested, E-PPV coordinates SRE (application) tower validation to ensure that SRE teams validate the performance of their applications post Change.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of technical experience within Software Applications or Infrastructure
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across varying levels of personnel
  • Experience with test case creation and execution
  • Experience with automation tools and their implementation
  • An understanding of Mainframe batch processes
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP Certified
  • Six Sigma Certified
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrated ability running large scale projects

Additional Information

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$104,800 - $144,300 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
